JioSpaceFiber launched satellite internet service
India's first satellite-based giga-fiber service 'JioSpaceFiber' was showcased during the recently held 'India Mobile Congress'. Mukesh Ambani-led telecom operator Jio has announced that its newly launched satellite-based broadband service will soon be available to Indians at a very affordable price.
None of Jio's broadband services in India were accessible to remote areas. But this time it will be possible thanks to the premium 'JioSpaceFiber' service.
Jio provides high-speed broadband fixed line and wireless services to more than 45 crore Indians through its 'Jio Fiber' and recently launched 'JioAirFiber' broadband services. But these two services are not available in remote areas of the country. But with the launch of the new 'JioSpaceFiber', the telecom company will now be able to bring its broadband services to people in remote areas of India, again at a very affordable cost.
According to Jio's claims, this new addition to its broadband lineup will provide business organizations as well as home internet customers – reliable, low latency and high-speed internet access.
Both 5G networks and high-speed broadband can be accessed in areas where internet connectivity is difficult to find. Jio has already brought four remote locations in India under JioSpaceFiber service to prove their claim true. This list includes – Gujarat, Chhattisgarh, Orissa and Assam.
It may be noted that, the Mukesh Ambani-led telecom company has joined hands with Luxembourg-based satellite telecommunication network provider SES to deploy the latest 'Medium Earth Orbit' (MEO) satellite technology in the new JioSpaceFiber satellite network.
